Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Usa River

🛬 Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
A staff member from Jerry Tanzania Tours will meet you at the airport and assist with your transfer.

🚐 Transfer to Usa River
Drive to Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge, located near Arusha, where you will be briefed on your upcoming safari.

🏨 Accommodation & rest
Enjoy a restful night at Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge in preparation for the exciting safari ahead.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day Game Drive

🌄 Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater
Begin your day with a descent of approximately 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.

🦏 Exceptional wildlife viewing
The crater floor offers outstanding game viewing thanks to its permanent water sources. Spot endangered black rhinos, wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, elands, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, giant tusked elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

🦁 Predators & scavengers
Observe spotted hyenas, jackals, and wild dogs roaming the crater, making this one of Africa’s top spots to see predators in action.

🦩 Rich birdlife
Over 500 bird species have been recorded in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, perfect for bird enthusiasts.

🏕️ Maasai cultural visit (optional)
Optional visit to a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands (extra cost), where you will meet elders, warriors, women, and children, learning about the traditions and lifestyle of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe.

🚐 Evening return to lodge
After the game drive, return to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Game Drive & Return to Arusha

🌅 Morning departure to Lake Manyara
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located along the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

🌿 Full-day game drive in Lake Manyara
Explore diverse landscapes, including open grassy plains, dense acacia woodlands, giant fig and mahogany trees, Soda Lake, and distant volcanic peaks. Experience breathtaking contrasts of scenery described by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa.”

🦓 Wildlife encounters
Spot buffalo, wildebeest, giraffes, dik-dik, mongooses, zebra herds, and the legendary tree-climbing lions and tusked elephants in the acacia forests.

🦩 Birdlife highlights
Lake Manyara is home to over 400 bird species. Marvel at thousands of pink flamingos, as well as pelicans, storks, and other large waterbirds.

🚐 Afternoon return to Arusha or airport
In the late afternoon, return to Arusha for your final evening or transfer to the airport for your next destination.

🏨 Evening in Arusha
Overnight stay in Arusha if not departing.
